2026 marks the 10-year wedding anniversary of the co-directors of Casual Fifth, and as a celebration we are putting together a show where everyone comes as the bride.
Repertoire in Casual Fifth begins around duets, so this will be a show featuring many duos as well as some new and reworked numbers from Casual Fifth’s catalog of taiko and dance. Join us for a show of holy matrimony.

Tӕngle brings together movement, sound, spoken text, and fiber arts to feel our way through the collective histories of commons and enclosure and personal histories of abundance and scarcity. The seed of this performance was planted eight years ago when Lead Artist Miryam Coppersmith read Silvia Federici's Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body and Primitive Accumulation. Federici's Feminist Marxist analysis of the witch hunts and the beginning threads of modern capitalism opened up questions for Miryam. What does abundance looks like in a crowded world? What does safety looks like when we let the world and each other be wild? What do we do now? Bringing these questions into the room with a cast of collaborators- performers and designers- gave rise to this performance.
